Experiential healing is a modality that involves conscious and mindful participation from the person that needs healing. The power of thought: the idea that even your very thoughts contain energy, assists in the healing process. When you incorporate mindfulness in your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being ~ you can manifest a path of healing and rehabilitation. Experiential healing is an experience in which the person that needs healing uses their own thoughts, words and actions to actively participate in their own rehabilitation process.
Kelly McGonigal gave a TedTalk video, "How to make stress your friend." She referenced a research article that studied patients with growing tumors. Long story, short - when the participants believed they would get better which caused minimal stress, they showed a substantial decrease in tumor size compared to when they stressed about not getting better. McGonigal leaves the audience with the idea that when you're able to make stress your friend, you can heal.
Power of the mind is endless. You need to give yourself more credit! Experiential healing is the productive use of mind/thought energy. It all starts with the mind and your thoughts. Even negative thoughts, if not dealt with and released, can manifest as physical conditions. I had a client that talked about her dad who held grudges for years, didn't speak to a family member for decades out of spite and was stubborn to forgive. Sounds like a chronic blockage in the heart/love area - reference to spiritual anatomy and the chakras. After reading how the mind and thought energies manifests as physical conditions, are you surprised to read that one of his last experiences was cardiovascular related?
Pay attention to your mental words, the self-dialogue and the adjectives you use to describe your life and the life of others. Use positive self-talk to manifest an abundant lifestyle and to maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit!
